Prospective students

We are the University of Oxford's ONLY official summer school program for students studying in their first year of further education.

We are looking for bright, enthusiastic students from UK state schools to attend our free summer schools, which will take place in Oxford in July and August 2014. If you are selected to attend, you’ll spend a week (Sunday to Friday) learning a subject in depth, on an academic course arranged by Oxford tutors and lecturers.

You’ll also get the opportunity to take part in a range of evening activities, designed to show off all the opportunities that the University and Oxford city can provide to its students.

You’ll learn about the application process at the University of Oxford and meet alumni of the University and current students. You’ll also stay in one of the colleges of the University of Oxford, giving you an opportunity to try out student life before making any big UCAS decisions!

How is UNIQ funded?

A generous donation of £3.25 million from the Helsington Foundation has allowed UNIQ to exist completely free of charge. This donation expires in 2014, where the University will maintain the schools until new funding is in place.
