Science and the Environment

This subject strand will look at the environment from the perspective of mathematical and physical sciences. Students will get to experience what studying a STEM subject at Oxford is like with a range of lectures, tutorials and a practical session designed to get you exploring the topic in a range of ways.

Humanities

The Humanities subject strand will introduce students to the way in which language, literature and history is studied at Oxford through a range of teaching styles. The course will enable students to examine a theme from a number of academic perspectives in the arts and humanities.

Medical Sciences

An introduction to the variety of approaches to medical sciences at university. This course will introduce students to the study of Medicine, Experimental Psychology and Oncology at Oxford through a day of lectures, practical sessions and a tutorials with Oxford academics. You will get to experience not only how medical sciences are taught at Oxford but also the variety of ways that it can be studied at university.

Q-Step: Politics & International Relations

The focus will be on making sense of the data presented in the media after the EU Referendum. The course explores how to interpret the official Referendum and census data (and data from some other related sources). You will have the chance to interpret your own figures, learn a core statistical model, try your hand at text analysis, and take home re-usable code to test out later.
