Course description

Classics: Rome is the study of the language, culture, history and thought of the ancient Roman civilisation. The Classics: Rome course gives students a chance to understand all these different elements and gain some experience of learning Latin. This course will provide you with a real feel for what a Classics degree is like, and is designed so that you won't need any prior experience of Classics or Classical languages to participate.

The course is designed so that you do not need any prior experience studying the ancient world or ancient languages to participate. It will give you a real feel for what a Classics degree is like, and help you to develop a taste for the ancient Greek world and the skills involved in studying it.

None: no prior knowledge of Classical languages is required.
